You will find no sharp surface edges on our products; simply run your finger along the edge of the top plate to experience the smooth finished surface. Our quality packaging includes careful shrink wrapping with cardboard backing to prevent damage during shipment, ensuring easy unrestricted airflow for your HVAC system. To measure a grille, focus on the size of the air duct/drywall opening. Do not measure the overall size of the register itself; only measure the "hole" in the wall/duct. Each grille has a front end frame that overlaps at the wall joint. The total outer size of the grille is the listed size plus 1.75" in width and 1.75" in height. The first number in a grille size represents the width, while the second number represents the height. For example, if your hole is 20" wide by 14" tall, order a 20x14 grille. If your hole is 14" wide by 20" tall, order a 14x20 grille.
